Who was Lancelot?
Lancelot was the son of King Ban of Benwick and Queen Elaine. He was the first knight of the round table, and was also said to be Arthur's greatest knight, until the affair with Guinevere, Arthur's Queen, but then returned and was still what Arthur called his greatest knight. As we learned in the King Arthur Course, many legends tell Lancelot as a young child being found by the Lady of the Lake and raised to be one of the greatest knights of all time. |
